Twenty-eight He Xiang beads in five colors — each tone representing one element, each bead the same size and weight. The strand moves through warm brown, forest green, deep grey, near-black, and sandy tan in an even, unhurried rhythm, with no single color dominating. At the center, one white crystal bead: clear, clean, and still among the color. A carved brass ring gathers the tassel, which carries a small cluster of accent beads in green jade, orange carnelian, and green crystal.

This piece carries all five elements in one object. The five He Xiang colors map directly to the five-element system — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — expressed through color and material in sequence. The white crystal at the center adds clarity, held in place by the warmth of what surrounds it.
